Welcome to the Hospitality Center for Chinese.

The Hospitality Center for Chinese is serving the needs of the Chinese people and their families who live, study and work in the Twin Cities. We are located across from the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota.

The Hospitality Center for Chinese provides a number of services and activities for Chinese students, scholars and their families.


New Students recieve Furniture from HCC

We Provide:

  • Picking up new arrivals from China at the airport
  • Temporary housing and hosting arrivals
  • Invitations to churches and homes
  • Personal services - helping students get around the Twin Cities
  • Field trips to points of interest in Minnesota
  • Furniture and household items to new students and families
  • Small language practice and friendship groups "Peng You Groups"

Classes:

  • Classes and individual tutoring in the English language
  • Bible studies

Welcome Picnic
  • Special classes; for example, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and US history
  • Books, Bibles and Christian literature in Chinese language
  • Children’s activities during fellowship times

Activities include:

  • Friendship Meals that take place at the Hospitality Center and are put on by volunteers from area churches and regular Center volunteers. A tasty array of food is provided with some entertainment after the meal. Children have a program of their own.
  • Picnics on campus every year, usually in the summer
  • Cafe Nights, open to young adults and occur on the last Saturday of the month.
  • Summer Sports Nights, a chance to exercise, take a break, meet friends and have fun.

The Mission of the Hospitality Center is to share Christ's love through hospitality to Chinese students, scholars, and their families.
